Social Features

Overview

Racery's social tools — likes, comments, @mentions, and message boards — turn passive participation into active relationship building. These features recreate the kind of casual, supportive conversations that happen around office water coolers but often disappear in remote settings.

Likes & Comments

Every activity in the feed can be liked or commented on. Celebrate a teammate's impressive streak, offer encouragement after a tough workout, or congratulate someone on a personal record.

These small interactions add up — they're the stitches that hold a race community's social fabric together.

@Mentions

Tag other participants in comments or activity logs using @nickname. The mentioned person receives a notification, making it easy to give shoutouts or start conversations.

Tip: Use @mentions to recognize teammates who hit milestones — it means more when the encouragement comes from a peer.

Message Boards

Each race has a message board where participants can post longer updates, share tips, or coordinate with teammates. Teams also have their own dedicated message boards for private team discussions.

  • Race-wide board: Visible to all participants
  • Team boards: Visible only to team members

Message boards are great for sharing motivation, posting workout recommendations, or organizing team challenges within the race.

Sharing Awards

When you earn bling — a digital bib, finish award, streak badge, or quiz badge — you can share it on social media or save the image. Each piece of bling displays your name, team, and race details, making it a personal keepsake.
